WHERE IS HORSE GUARDS?

Horse Guards, or Horse Guards Parade is located approximately 10 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace.

There are three possible walking routes from the Palace:

Turn so the Palace is behind you and either:

Walk to the park in front of you (St James' Park) and walk through the park directly away from the Palace,

this will bring you out at Horse Guards Parade by a War memorial, walk across the road and onto Horse guards

Take the road leading away from you slightly to the left, this is The Mall, which leads to Trafalar Square, walk up

The Mall on the right hand side of the road with St James' Park on your right,

at the first road you come to turn right, Horse Guards is 100 metres down on your left

Take the road to the right of St James' Park, this is Birdcage Walk, follow this road with St James' Park on your left,

take the first left turn road and Horse Guards is 200 metres down on your right.

Alternatively you can go to Trafalgar Square underground, walk down The Mall,

take the first left turn this will lead you to Horse Guards
